I am a parent who has been alienated from my older children with it progressively getting worse as time goes on, the worst being with my oldest.
When I reached out to Natalie, my mental health was in complete disarray. I was borderline suicidal, relapsing from ptsd, and felt my children would be better off without me. I was a robot. Wake up, go to work, fight with my children's other parents, go to bed depressed, repeat. All while trying to raise other children and function.
I was beyond lost, and had given up almost all hope.
Then Natalie and I had a phone call.
I unloaded completely on someone I never have met in person yet instantly felt connected to, and trusted with some of the deepest pain in my soul.
I felt heard, understood, and somehow totally loved by this women who was suffering PA as well.
I finally met someone who understood what it was like to grieve losing your child who is very much still alive.
Since then I have been working with Natalie on how to build boundaries, create better communication with my children, and really reflect on how the conflict has been tearing apart my mental health.
Within just a few weeks I went from being completely lost to feeling like I've started to take some of my power back, stand on my feet again, and by association stand up for myself as my children's parent.... something that was slowly being stripped from me.
It's far to early to tell if my relationship with my children will improve, but with Natalie's help I have set a sturdy base layer I hope to build on.
Natalie is professional, getting back to me right away with a timeline of when we can work through an email, or answer a question of mine, never leaving me high and dry, always knowing when she plans to get back to me. I really appreciate this as I know she's very busy with her own life.
Natalie is empathetic, passionate about helping PA parents, and has a great knowledge base regarding court processes.
Natalie is slowly changing my life and how I look at being alienated from my children for the better. Words can not be strung together to express my deepest appreciation for everything she's done for me so far.
I feel like I've found the support I need, and an understanding friend. I would recommend Natalie to anyone who feels lost in their conflict and needs help being guided towards next steps.
